AbbVie has an opening for a Senior Scientist in Discovery to conduct pre-clinical research and development in the are of antibody drug conjugates (ADCs).
Key Responsibilities Include:
Synthesis, purification and characterization of ADCs on mg to gram scale.
Development and optimization of conjugation protocols utilizing novel chemistries and technologies.
Development and optimization of automated techniques for ADC synthesis and purification.
Collaboration with Therapeutic Area Project Teams, as well as core Chemistry, Protein Science and Process Development teams to expand conjugation capabilities at Abbvie.
Protein Purification experience required
Grade level will be based on education & years of experience
PhD in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology or other relevant discipline with 0-3+ years of relevant experience.
Hands-on experience with generation and characterization of antibody drug conjugates preferably in the area of biotherapeutics.
Proficient in analytical techniques including Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC)-HPLC, Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), Liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS), Ion-Exchange (IEX), Reversed Phase (RP)-HPLC, and capillary electrophoresis (e.g. reduced and non-reduced CE-SDS, icIEF).
Hands-on experience and knowledge in protein purification using HIC, IEX, SEC and affinity chromatography. Experience with GE AKTA FPLC and unicorn software preferred.
