The person in this role will provide thought leadership in Reporting, Data Management & Data Analytics space for DTC. This role is responsible for partnering with our Data Science partners to implement a Marketing/Analytics infrastructure, including data flows, vendor coordination, and vendor builds. This individual will work with partners to document the major business functions, and understand how they align with the systems used/proposed. This role is additionally responsible for metric creation, report specification, ad-hoc analysis, business and data definitions and mappings as well resolving vendor data defects. This Reporting & Data Analytics lead will develop a detailed knowledge of the underlying data and data structures and become the subject matter expert on content, current and potential future uses of data, and the quality and interrelationship between core elements of the data repository and master data management.


  • Collaborate with business and relevant colleagues to collect data requirements, analyze business requirements and processes; develop and implement necessary reports and metrics to track business performance.

  • Work with data engineering and analytics teams to build datamarts and reports to drive business efficiency

  • Participate in the implementation of vendor builds and integrations across all vendors and internal areas to ensure data requirements are delivered correctly

  • Help drive prioritization of requirements to support data integrity, usability and access.

  • Administration of data definitions (definition, naming, and abbreviation) including responsibility for maintaining the data dictionary.

  • Documentation of data attributes, ensuring appropriate controls and verifications are in place for data.

  • Ensure data received is timely, meets quality standards and is complete (no missing records)

  • Develops data testing strategies for large and small scale projects within the organization

  • Maintains Data Governance artifacts including but not limited to Data Dictionary, Data Mapping, Data Issue Tracking, etc.

  • Define and implement interim and strategic long term solutions that will allow Direct to Consumer to effectively use data for making informed decisions across all products, customers and channels and provide information to sponsors and brokers to increase sales. As the data stream lead, communicate daily with internal team, executives, as well as vendors when needed to ensure operational efficiency and timely completion of projects.


  • 8+ years of experience in data management, reporting and data analysis

  • Ability to work and influence peers, team members, senior management; and external partners and solid negotiation and consensus building skills

  • Solid project management and coordination skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • General knowledge of the supported business functions, processes/procedures, workflow, systems, and transactions

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Advanced SQL skills

  • Knowledge of data quality and data governance

Proven knowledge of various analytics-oriented data schema such as with star and snowflake schema in an OLAP database
