  • Review and evaluate controls and determine whether they are designed properly, particularly in a changing business process environment. Identify any control gaps, propose effective controls and help document.

  • Coordinate and perform testing of internal controls over financial reporting in a consistent and high quality way. Perform quality review of internal control testing performed by others.

  • Assist with annual risk assessments and identification/documentation of controls.

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management (Financial Reporting Risk) and process owners on process walkthroughs for our external auditors.

  • Review Service Organization Control Reports and identify controls needed for User Control Considerations.

  • Identify any financial reporting risk issues, evaluate for deficiency consideration, and assist owners with remediation plans.


  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA preferred

  • 5-10 years audit or accounting experience

  • Knowledge of insurance products, investments, IT general controls a plus

  • Familiarity with Service Organization Control Reports and User Control Considerations a plus

  • Motivated self-starter with high aptitude for quickly learning new concepts and skills

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines consistently and effectively

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Analytic ability and strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
